Tips to keep your mobile phone safe

Tips to keep your mobile phones safe

If you’re anything like me there is so much of my life stored on my phone and our mobile phones for many people have become an extension of our body in that we rely on it so much throughout our daily life. It’s hard to imagine what life would be like without a mobile phone in our pocket or handbag. Mobile phones are expensive, and so, therefore, you want to make sure to look after them at all times. Here are some tips to keep your mobile phone safe.

Keep Your Phone Locked

Your phone should be locked and not left without a passcode or some sort of symbol or face ID to unlock it. If you’re leaving your phone unlocked, then there’s more potential for those who might come across your phone, to access all your information. Many of us have now switched to online banking, which, although is handy for many to take advantage of seeing their accounts 24/7, also makes their phone more vulnerable if not looked after properly. Try to keep your phone locked at all times and make sure to pick a password that’s not going to be as simple as 1234 or have relevance to yours or a family member’s birthday. It’s good to try and switch up your passwords every so often to further protect the phone.

Buy A Durable Phone Case

The right phone case is going to make all the difference when it comes to mobile safety. There are lots of phone cases available like these indycar phone cases, which can be great for those with a passion for cars. However, it’s important to assess the safety of each case and what they can bring to the table when it comes to providing support and protection for your phone. Some are good at absorbing the shock, and then you have some that might be somewhat waterproof. You can get screen protectors with some phone cases and no screen protectors with others, so find something that works for you.

Always Connect To Secure Wifi

WIFI is something that we access in our homes but also on the go. It’s important to remember that while connecting to WIFI on the go is useful, it’s not as safe and secure as your private WIFI. Caution should be taken when using public WIFI, and it’s not advised to use any apps like online banking when you’re connected to a public WIFI. If you’re not careful, that WIFI could be compromised, and you could be endangering your personal details.

Never Have Your Phone Near Water

Your phone isn’t indestructible, and it’s biggest danger is water. Make sure that you’re keeping your phone away from water where possible. It can definitely be wise to not use your phone when you’re in the bathroom or whilst watching your favourite television program. Be wary of water and the dangers it poses to your phone.

Keeping your mobile phone safe is essential, so find ways that you can keep your mobile phone safe, whether it’s buying a better phone case or making sure your phone is locked.
